Support Us

Music may move the soul but it also puts a strain on the bank balance!  In common with many other arts organisations, the Ceramic City Choir receives no official funding or grant of any kind from any local or national bodies. Consequently, income for supporting the choir’s charitable objectives comes primarily from concert ticket sales and membership subscriptions, and our annual budgets have to be carefully constructed with a tight control maintained on all costs.

Staging a major, large choral work, including hire of the venue and staging, professional musician costs, marketing, and engaging our year-round professional music staff can cost in the region of £15,000-£30,000 depending on the venue, work(s) performed and resources required.  To fulfil our ambition of extending our range of music and audience reach even more we are looking at opportunities that would enable us to put the choir on a sounder financial footing.  Cost constraints do impact our ability to fulfil these ambitions and charitable objectives.

Perhaps there is a way that you could support us in this endeavour. Please see the different ways you can support the Ceramic City Choir.
