Singers of all voice parts are welcome to join the Ceramic City Choir at any time, and are encouraged to attend a few ‘no obligation’ rehearsals before deciding if you would like to audition to join the choir.

You will always receive a warm welcome and choir members will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings at the Westlands Methodist Church, Pilkington Avenue, Newcastle-under-Lyme.

After attending a few rehearsals, if you wish to join the choir, you will undertake a short, friendly audition with our conductor Anthony Rose, comprising some scales/arpeggios to establish your range, pitching/aural exercises (such as singing the middle note of a chord), some sight-singing and a short prepared piece of your choice.  For more information on the audition process please contact our registrar This email address is being protected from spambots. Although members take their commitment to rehearsals and to performing concerts seriously, there is a lot of fun to be had by belonging to the Ceramic City Choir. Lasting friendships are frequently made, and all members have the opportunity to take part in the many social activities on offer.
